I am an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes and lived on Ft. Berthold Indian Reservation since my early teen years where I graduated high school and community college. In 2005 I graduated with a Master's degree in Management from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND. And post graduation, I entered into the Aberdeen Area (Now Great Plains Area) Indian Health Service as an Administrative Management Trainee for a two-year succession program.
I encumbered leadership positions as a result of a successful program completion and had the amazing experience of living and being a part of different Tribal communities.
2016 is when I when I ended my Indian Health Service and went back to my home reservation as the Tribal Health Director. This gave me an advantage to have the working knowledge of how the federal healthcare system and Tribes are intertwined. It also gave me 19 years of comprehensive experience.

James Dunham, BS, MBA, MHA
James is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Pine Ridge, SD. He was worked in healthcare for almost 30 years in revenue cycle management. Experience includes: managing a full scale hospital revenue cycle for corporate healthcare, strategic planning and publications for the Centers of Medicaid and Medicare Services. James is a Certified Revenue Cycle Management Executive of the American Association of Healthcare; Certified Affordable Care Act (ACA) broker.
